Apprenticeship scheme

NHS Wigan Borough CCG is committed to developing young talent through apprenticeship schemes. Currently, nearly 10 per cent of our workforce is either a current or former apprentice - which is a fantastic achievement!!

Apprentices will have the opportunity to learn on the job, building up knowledge, skills, confidence and qualifications whilst earning money at the same time. Apprentices are provided with support and guidance through their managers, colleagues and training provider to develop their skills in a fast paced yet supportive environment.

Apprenticeships can be extremely rewarding, training you in the skills employers want and helping you to begin a successful career.

Volunteers provide invaluable help in the work of the Clinical Commissioning Group and enhance the range of services offered by paid staff.

Volunteering within our services could offer you some valuable experience which could aid your study, help you decide if you are thinking about a change in career or simply give you the opportunity to put something back into your community.

A workplace induction and suitable training is available. All volunteers will be subject to a satisfactory disclosure barring checks, references and a health declaration.
