Our Patients’ Forum is made up of local people who are interested in helping to improve local health and social care services. Some of the members belong to Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) or volunteer for the NHS in some way. We are always looking for new people to join us and you don't need any particular experience!
Frank Costello, Deputy Chair of the CCG Chairs the Patient Forum workshops. Frank sits on the CCG Governing Body and has responsibility for Patient and Public Involvement. Frank acts as a direct link between the group and the CCGs Governing Body.
Some members of Patients Forum help to assure the CCGs Governing Body that people are getting involved in the work of the CCG and they are invited to give an update every few months. They also have input into writing our Annual Patient & Public Annual Report.
To give you an idea of the types of things Patients Forum gets involved in, we have posted minutes from previous meetings below:
June 2019 - workshop notes to be included within engagement report for Digital Health Services
How to get involved:
If you want to join the Patients Forum please get in touch with us on 01942 482711 or email@example.com. Your key contact is Rachel Richardson, Patient & Public Engagement Manager. Please tell us if you need any extra help or support or would like the information in a different way.
The Patients Forum gets involved in a variety of subjects and topics. One of the key achievements for 2017/2018 has been the design and implementation of the Shape Your NHS Training programme. This is a FREE training programme for any patient, resident or voluntary sector who may want to get involved to help improve local services. Click here to see more information about this training.
