We want to continuously improve what we do. So if you have any ideas or feedback, please let us know!

Our 2018/2019 review of our engagement processes and plans
In 2018/2019 we worked with some of our stakeholders to review our engagement processes and plans. Our internal auditors, Mersey Internal Audit, also undertook a review of our patient and public involvement work.
We have carefully reviewed all the feedback. We have thought about the things we can change and improve. The changes will be reflected in our new Communications & Engagement Strategy. We are busy updated this strategy at the moment and it will be posted soon.
Mersey Internal Audit briefing paper can be found below:
The paper below gives more information about the things people said and what we are doing in response:
NHS England assessment 2017/2018
Last year NHS England set up a new process to assess CCG engagement activity.
They undertook a website review to assess us against 5 key areas:
- Annual Reporting
- Our day to day practice
- Feedback and Evaluation
- Equality and Health inequalities
For 2017/2018 we scored “Requires improvement” overall.
In response to our score, the CCG also asked Mersey Internal Audit to undertake a review of our engagement activity. They scored us “good” in the areas we had got “requires improvement” from NHS England.
The following presentation gives more information about NHS England’s assessment and the Mersey Internal Audit review. This presentation was put together for some of our patient groups:
