Wigan Borough Clinical Commissioning Group is the statutory body responsible for commissioning local health services in Ashton, Leigh and Wigan.

Patient Opinion is an independent not-for-profit website that offers a place for honest and meaningful conversations between patients and health services. We believe that your story can help make health services better.

We want to make sure that all the services we commission are of a high quality and meet the needs of our patients.  In order for us to know what our services are like for those who use them, we need feedback - both positive and negative.  Patient Opinion is one place where you can anonymously tell us what you think of the health services you have received.  If you post your story on there, we get told immediately and we know where we are getting it right and where we need to make changes.

How Patient Opinion Works

When you go on to www.patientopinion.org.uk, you:

  1. Share your story of using a health service
  2. They send your story to staff of place you had your care so that they can learn from it, including to the CCG
  3. Staff from the place you had your care can then choose to give a response
  4. Your story might help staff to change services
  5. We send a Patient Experience Report to our Clinical Governance Committee where they monitor the quality of all our services and it will help us make sure we commission the best services

We encourage anyone who uses services in the borough to give us feedback.  Patient Opinion is an easy and anonymous way to do that and you can do it right here using the form below (don't worry, it is still anonymous as the information goes straight to Patient Opinion without us having any access to it or seeing it).
